| About Us |
We changed our group name in May 2005 from the Saskatchewan Scleroderma Self Help Group to the Scleroderma Association of Saskatchewan. We are a caring support group for scleroderma members in the province. We meet twice a year, usually Regina in the spring and Saskatoon in the fall. We have a business meeting in the morning and enjoy lunch and visiting together at noon. A guest speaker or some informative segment is featured in the afternoon. Members discuss concerns or helpful hints to cope with scleroderma during sharing time.
Annual fees are $20.00. This includes our newsletter plus membership in the Scleroderma Society of Canada and their quarterly newsletter, ’Canadian Scleroderma News’.
The Scleroderma Association of Saskatchewan is a registered charitable organization. Money raised goes towards research and awareness in Canada. Tax receipts are issued for membership, donations and memorials.
The Scleroderma Association of Saskatchewan maintains its goals of patient and family support, education, awareness and fundraising for research. Help is also available by telephone or email. We try to keep our meetings informative and upbeat. Listening and talking to others with scleroderma really helps. You will meet some new friends. Most of all, you realize you are not alone. Everyone interested in scleroderma is welcome to attend.
