World Scleroderma Conference in Italy


The 1st Systemic Sclerosis World Congress is being held in Florence, Italy, February 11-13, 2010. 

This will be an interdisciplinary conference for cardiologists, dermatologists, nephrologists, internists, pulmonologists and rheumatologists.   It will also feature a complete program for patients, with sessions designed for patients' interests, plus the opportunity to attend sessions presented to physicians as well.

The Scleroderma Society of Canada will have representatives attending this world scleroderma conference.  It is noteworthy that Maureen Sauvé, President of the Scleroderma Society of Ontarion and Board member of the SSC, will be presenting a session to the patient conference on the subject of the national patient survey and its results.

The aim of the congress is to foster outstanding research into the cause(s) and understanding of systemic sclerosis and to improve clinical care and awareness of scleroderma, worldwide.

Young Investigators will be a special focus, a program fostering direct contact with the experts.
